Hot Rod Heaven at the Hootenanny

ATOMIC GALLERY
This is the eighth great year for the Hootenanny, a one-day haven for lovers of Rockabilly music, hot rod cars, and the greaser lifestyle. And for the first time, the Hootenanny is coming to three different West Coast cities:
  • July 5th in San Francisco at the Shoreline Ampitheatre Concourse (not in the seats)
  • July 6th in Orange County at Hidden Valley (behind the Verizon Ampitheatre)
  • July 7th in San Diego at Embarcadaro Park South (on the waterfront)

As usual, the musical line-up is simply scorching. This year’s performers include:

Joe Strummer, -X-, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Blasters, Hank Williams III, Lee Rocker, Cadillac Tramps, Nashville Pussy, Tiger Army, KingBees, James Intveld, Original Sinners, 3 Bad Jacks, Hot Rod Lincoln, and Russell Scott and his Red Hots. The Bay Area show will also include the Stillmen, Red Meat, and Johnny Dilks. The Hidden Valley event will feature additional performances by Throw Rag, Rumble King, Vikki Tofoya and Eddie Nichols, Aces and Eights, Joe Wood, Atomicmen, and the Vaquetones.

In addition to all day music performances, there will be a car show, vendors galore, and a special guest appearance by George Barris, creator of The General Lee, the Batmobile and the Munsters car, who will be signing autographs and showing off his one-of-a-kind four wheelers.

Tickets for all three dates are still available! San Diego and San Fran are $35, and Orange County is $40. For more information and to find out other tour dates for Hootenanny recording artists, visit www.hootenannyrecordings.com. Be sure to tell ‘em ATOMIC sentcha…and stay tuned for a new gallery of photos from Hootenanny 2002!

Car Show & Vendors: If you would like to show your hot rod or sell your wares at the Hootenanny, please email hootvendor@goldenvoice.com or carshow@goldenvoice.com for the Orange Country and San Diego shows (specify which event in your subject header).
