Matt Catingub's Big Kahuna
and The Copa Cat Pack
Shake Those Hula Hips!

You've been planning your Gilligan's Island theme party for weeks. You've stocked up on tiki torches, decorated your house with so much bamboo that the pandas in the local zoo are calling you up for an invitation, and you've even convinced the couple next door to dress up as Mr. and Mrs. Howell. But, there's a problem: You don't have the appropriate music to play on the coconut powered stereo! Whatever will you do?

Well, fret no more, because Matt Catingub's Big Kahuna and the Copa Cat Pack are here to bail you out. Their latest release, Shake Those Hula Hips! (Concord Records), will give your gathering that upbeat, fun and frankly, downright cheeseball swingin' feel the passengers must have experienced on that original three hour tour! Mixing Vegas-style horns with television themes and traditional merrymaking tunes like "Tequila," The Pack plays perfect party music.

If there are fans of true big band or serious jazz at your party, they might question the need for yet another version of "In the Mood" or "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing!)." And although that is a very legitimate argument, the best response would probably be to simply whack them with Skipper's hat and yell, "Pass the mango, little buddy!"
