Mob

Sitting
in his bathtub one evening, law student David Brinker reflected
on his love of mob movies, like The Godfather and Goodfellas.
More specifically, he thought about the great music that often
accompanied these filmsballads by crooners like Dean Martin,
Rosemary Clooney, and Jerry Vale, and swingin' numbers by the
likes of Louis Prima. Wouldn't it be great, thought Brinker, to
have a compilation of those great mob hits?
The
rest, as they say, is history. After selling more than 80,000 copies
of his double-CD collection, Mob hits: Music From And A Tribute
To The Great Mob Movies, on late-night television and through
the internet, Brinker's brainchild is not hitting store shelves
across America. If you love songs like "Volare," "That's
Amore," "Oh Marie," "Buona Sera," and "Angelina
Zooma Zooma"not to mention instumentals from the Godfather
moviesthen baby, this collection is for you. The production
quality is top-knotch, the songs are classics, and the lyrics will
make you laugh out loud (just wait till you hear Clooney's tough
Brooklyn girl accent on "Mambo Italiano").
The
two Mob Hits CDs would be a surefire smash at your next
party, with 22 fun and campy chestnuts that you'll be humming
for days after. Oh, and if you want to know where to get the best
Italian pasta sauce in America, just check the liner notes.
